A blog is a true friend

I just read Sophia's wonderful post Ripping off the Blogging Band-Aid. I recognize myself a lot in it. Apart from being on the same kind of medication for my blog-quitting GAD, this part really resonated with me:

I could write about the same thing every single week, and still learn a lot about myself by how my answers have changed.

So true.

As I'm in the process of moving my old blog posts here, I'm giving them a quick read-through. I'm amazed to see how many times I've written about the exact same thing, but with a very different conclusion.

It's like the posts were written by someone else, which in a sense is true. Each blog post is a rebirth. Every word written leaves something behind and gives birth to something new.

Having a blog is a great way to see this beautiful development and transformation take place. "Blogging gives me a way to witness my own personal evolution”, as Sophia puts it.

A blog is like that true friend who listens to you wholeheartedly, even when you're telling the same story for the tenth time.
