Today's workday was the longest and toughest in a long time. I feel really exhausted.
The last thing I wanted to do when I came home was to write. All I wanted was to sit down with a cold beer in front of the TV. That would have been the easiest.
But what happens if we always go for the easy option? Just because something is easy doesn't mean it's the best choice. In fact, it's often the opposite.
I'm not saying you should force yourself to do something you really don't want to. But a little extra push is sometimes necessary. Reminding ourselves of how good it feels afterward can be helpful.
As living proof, I can confirm that it's true. It feels really good to have written a few lines. Plus, I still have time to watch a movie.
Unfortunately, I don't have any beer at home, but you can't always have it all…
