Constant change

I watched a documentary about the Swedish artist Loreen, who won the Eurovision Song Contest ten years ago with the song Euphoria.

In it, she explains that the song was an important chapter in her life — but she doesn’t want to recreate it. She wants to move on.

She then adds that most people don’t like change, that they feel safe with what they already know.

But you can’t stop change. Everything changes. As the old saying goes:

The only constant in life is change.

Many of our problems would disappear — or at least feel more like challenges than “things that shouldn’t happen” — if we simply accepted this universal truth:

Change is inevitable.

It’s an essential part of life. Sometimes stormy, sometimes calm — and everything in between. It’s perfectly natural.

We wouldn’t even be here if it weren’t for change. Change is evolution. If anything, we should be grateful to have it as our faithful life coach.
