I’m not in the mood to write, but I’m going to keep sticking to the write every day principle.
Something written is better than nothing.
Imagine if we only did things when they felt fun and exciting. How much would really get done? Paying taxes, repainting the house, changing tires, going to the dentist...
“I’ll wait until it feels fun.”
Even the things we’re passionate about aren’t always fun. It’s good to remind ourselves of that. It’s easy to think it should always feel fun because, nine times out of ten, it does.
When we fall into that mindset, we risk fooling ourselves. We start to believe we’ve grown tired of what used to be our passion. It becomes a downward spiral where nothing feels truly rewarding anymore.
Whatever you’re passionate about, keep that flame alive. Don’t let a heavy sigh blow out what you love to breathe life into. A bit of fighting spirit is often all it takes to keep the creative fire burning.
