Today I did an inspection where the homeowner suspected house fungus.

It’s not an assignment I get very often. It involves several steps, like taking samples and sending them to a lab.

Since I don’t do it regularly, I always feel a bit unsure. That uncertainty adds extra effort, which then adds extra time. If I were doing it every day, or at least a couple of times a week, it would be a whole different story.

It’s a given. If we do something regularly, we get better at it. There’s less friction, and it’s easier to slip into a flow.

That goes for blogging too, of course. If we make it a habit, it becomes easier and more fun. We overcome the resistance and get the reward, because blogging becomes something we know, inside and out.

And the good thing, compared to checking for house fungus, is that we don’t need to send our blog posts to a lab for analysis.
