“Make yourself a good day.”
That’s how my boss usually ends his morning emails. A bit of an odd way to put it. “Have a good day” is what we’re used to seeing.
But it’s actually a really good way to phrase it. Because that’s how it is, isn’t it?
Days become what we make of them.
If we head out with bitterness and a negative attitude, we’ll probably be met with the same. And the opposite is just as true, a positive attitude can change everything.
This whole page could easily be filled with quotes about that. We’ve all seen and heard them a thousand times. But it doesn’t matter if we tattoo the message on our forehead, we still need to live it.
We don’t need to walk around with fake smiles, pretending everything is great when it’s not. Nor should we hold back sadness or stay silent when something needs to be said. We’re human, sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, and sometimes we speak up.
That’s our right.
We also have this remarkable ability to make conscious choices. And we should make the most of it.
One way to start is by setting our default attitude to positive instead of negative.
