Junited 2026 in numbers

Junited 2026 was amazing! Link love was flowing like never before. Thank you so much to all of you who participated.

It was also wonderful to see that several bloggers mentioned that they had discovered Junited itself through someone else's post about it, showing the meta magic of today's blooming blogging community.

And now to the numbers... and my napkin graph attempt.

Napkin graphs

In total, there were 59 bloggers taking part this year. That's more than 2024 (18) and 2025 (13) combined, making 2026 by far the biggest Junited yet. A roughly 354% jump from 2025 alone.

One participant page didn't exist anymore, returning a 404, and one blog had been removed completely.

About 1,000 links were shared. That's around 17 links per blogger. R.L. Dane shared the most, and the most shared link was I want my friends to have blogs too.

A few topics came up again and again across different sites, most notably the "buy me a coffee" button debate, sparking replies, counter-replies, and counter-counter-replies across half a dozen different blogs.

At least one shared post dated back to the 90s, showing Junited wasn't just about what's new, but older gems surfaced too.

Several posts shared were not in English, including German, Dutch, and Japanese blogs, reflecting how international this annual event has become.

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone. You truly make the web a beautiful place.
