All of that to say, i'm quite fond of bear blog and the little community here. It strikes a very nice balance of not being too isolated, yet also not being the loud online mess that is modern social media.
That's so true and one of the reasons so many of us have fallen in love with Bear. A feeling of being connected without being overwhelmed. That delicate balance is a rare gift.
The beauty of Bear is that we can also shift the balance. If we feel like taking a step back at times, all we need to do is add the make_discoverable: false attribute to our posts. No more upvote button or being featured in the discovery feed.
The same goes for the features. All we need is there right from the start, but there are also endless possibilities if we want to take it further. It's all up to us.
Bear gives you a feeling of being in control in a comforting way. A sense of being inclusive without being intrusive.
Congrats on picking Bear for your new blog, Ti. A warm welcome to the community!
