Re: Who would ever read this?
I read piimyon's post Who would ever read this?, which in itself already answers the question.
I read it, and I loved reading it. I felt connected, almost like it could've been written by myself. Like this part:
It is the need to feel connected after all. I do want to feel seen and recognized for what I do. And what do I have? Nothing but my mind and words.
That's exactly how I feel. And the thing is, which I have a feeling the writer agrees with, it doesn't really have to be confirmed. It doesn't matter what the stats say, it's about knowing that someone might read it.
That's the reason I've always felt that private journaling isn't for me. Is it an attention-seeking look-at-me kinda thing? I honestly don't think so.
For me, writing in public adds more reflection to the words. I can sit for a good while in front of a blank screen, not writing a single letter, just contemplating how to put words on what I'm feeling.
I'm not saying this is the right way to do it, and I totally understand that it's the opposite for some, but it's the way that works for me. What works for you?
If you don't have an answer, test the waters. Write with pen and paper, start a blog, try a journaling app, paint what you feel, turn it into music...
It doesn't matter how you do it. What matters is manifesting whatever you carry inside.
Let it out in one way or another.
