I visited my favorite barber here in Chiang Mai today.
The guy’s an artist, he really is. Meticulous to the core, fully present with every detail, never rushing. The whole experience feels almost meditative.
Before starting, he hung a Closed sign on the door. Not because of opening hours, there are none, and you can’t book in advance. He did it simply because he felt that was enough for today.
He knew he’d given every customer top-notch service. He knew that, for today, it was enough to get by.
No cutting corners, no rushed shaving, no bleeding it dry.
