Trusting your gut
We've all been there: that unsettling feeling when something just doesn't feel right.
During one of today's customer visits, that feeling crept up on me. It wasn't anything specific—no strange glances, nothing peculiar that was said. Just a sense of unease, a wave of "bad vibes."
I think we can all recognize that feeling. It's something beyond what we see and hear—an intangible energy, a gut feeling, or however we choose to describe it.
This inner guide helps us navigate life's complexities. It might be a job offer that looks perfect on paper, yet your gut screams "no." Or a dream house viewing where you feel bad vibes the moment you step inside.
Sometimes, we know deep down that something is wrong, but we desperately want it to be right. We seek validation from others, asking leading questions:
"Surely I should treat myself to a new phone? I use it so much, and mine is last year's model."
Everything inside us warns against it, but we gather enough false "yeses" to ignore that feeling. We're happy—for a couple of days. Then comes the bitter aftertaste.
We can try to deceive ourselves, but our gut feeling will eventually reveal the truth. If you're struggling to interpret that feeling, it's best to wait. Things are rarely as urgent as we make them out to be.
Keep your cool and trust your inner guide. It's a powerful tool, even if it's hard to describe.
