When sorrow unites

One of today's clients, an older woman, told me that her husband had passed away last year. I offered my condolences and mentioned that my dad had also recently passed away.

A few tears were shed as we connected through our shared loss. Despite the sadness, there was something beautiful in that moment.

Two strangers, one nearly twice the age of the other, yet a strong connection formed between us. Two individuals born in vastly different periods of time, but at that moment – in our shared loss and sorrow – we were twins.
