Bear discovery filter idea

I’ve been reading a few posts lately about AI on Bear, including Becky’s My Two Pennies on AI & Bear Blog, How does Bear Blog view AI? by Suliman, and now Discovery and AI by Herman.

That got me thinking.

Maybe it’s time to introduce one more way to filter the discovery feed. We already have options to sort by language and to exclude specific blogs. What if we could also exclude specific keywords?

Even if it wouldn’t fix everything for everyone, it could still be quite useful. And it would fit in nicely with the filter options that are already there.

Below is a mockup to show what I mean. It’s static, but the filter option works well enough to give you a feel for it. What do you think, is this something you would find useful?

Come to think of it, some might even think it would be perfect for filtering out posts like this one. Bear-related posts do have a habit of ending up on the trending page. So, in a way, this post is both part of the “problem” and a possible solution. 😊
