Blogging, it's been a minute

This sentence took a couple of seconds to write. This one has more words in it, partly because of this unnecessary filler in the middle, so it took a bit longer to write. Maybe a minute in total now.

A minute. In today's hectic society that can feel like an eternity. There's work to do, things to look after, errands to run...

With that second paragraph, and the time it took to come up with it, this text is probably down to five minutes now.

Some days the words won't come out. All just blank. Nothing.

The day after, we read it through. Hmm, a quote might get things moving. So we pick up where we left off:

Some days the words won't come out. All just blank. Nothing.

He opens his mouth, but the words won't come out
He's chokin', how? Everybody's jokin' now
The clock's run out, time's up, over, blaow

Snap back to reality, we're in the flow again. The words and ideas come pouring out. So we do some more writing, and some more...

Then other duties are calling. The clock's run out. Time's up.

But it's ok, we have a blog post now. A minute here and a minute there. Not exactly Pulitzer Prize territory, but better than:

"My last blog post? Well, it's been a minute."
