No autosave for miracles

It was less than a month ago that I blogged about having listened to a documentary about Dolly Parton, writing “What an icon!”. Now she’s gone. So sad, so strange.

This Friday it’s three years since my dear dad passed away. It feels like I will never grasp this to be true. He’s always with me in one way or another, he can’t be gone.

Maybe the “immortal” sense of today’s technology makes us more vulnerable and bewildered when it comes to mortality. Being so used to archives and backups. A push of a button and we’re up and running again.

Maybe, just maybe, this in the long run will make us appreciate and honor life even more. Making us more aware of how precious and fleeting this gift is.

It really is a miracle, what we have here and now, and there’s no autosave when it comes to miracles.
